The steering angle sensor measures the steering wheel position with 2 sensing inputs. It communicates the steering angle position and the steering angular velocity on the chassis CAN. The supervisor control module determines the state of health of the steering angle sensor based on the data the sensor is communication and other vehicle data that can be correlated.
