Preliminary Procedure
- Using a scan tool, retrieve the percentage of remaining engine oil. Record the remaining engine oil life.
- Turn OFF the Ignition.
- Remove the right front compartment side sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Replacement

Engine Control Module (ECM) Procedure
- Disconnect the ECM harness connectors. The ECM harness connectors are equipped with locking levers. Rotate the levers upward to the connectors to disengage the connector.
- Disengage the ECM bracket retaining tabs.
