Memory Recall Option

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2010 GMC Yukon XL, 2010 GMC Yukon, 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2010 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The memory seat module (MSM) cannot perform Memory Seat Recall and Easy Exit functions unless these options are activated in the driver information center (DIC), refer to the Owners Manual. The DIC reports the memory seat recall option setting to the MSM as well as other receiving modules, via GMLAN message each time the ignition switch is cycled to the ON position. The MSM will then store the memory recall option setting and examine it before making a memory seat adjustment. The memory recall option setting stored within the MSM will not change until the memory recall option setting in the DIC is changed and the ignition switch is cycled to the ON position.
