Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the supercharger assembly. Refer to Supercharger Replacement (Supercharger Replacement).




2. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the crankshaft position sensor retaining bolt.
4. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.

Installation Procedure





Note: Inspect the crankshaft position sensor O-ring for wear or damage. If a problem is found, replace the O-ring.

1. Lubricate the crankshaft position sensor O-ring with clean engine oil.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the crankshaft position sensor and the retaining bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Connect the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector.




4. Install the supercharger assembly. Refer to Supercharger Replacement (Supercharger Replacement).
5. Perform the crankshaft position sensor variation learn procedure. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn (Service and Repair).
