Remote Control Door Lock Receiver
If the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed in the order listed below:
IMPORTANT:
Any time the RCDLR is replaced, the steering column lock module (SCLM) must also be replaced. Failure to replace the SCLM when replacing the RCDLR will result in a no start condition.
- Perform the Keyless Entry Transmitter Programming procedure-Refer to Transmitter Programming (N. America and Japan, except Canada) or Transmitter Programming (Canada and Europe) or Transmitter Programming (New RCDLRs ONLY) Select Transmitter Programming for New RCDLRs ONLY.
- Perform the procedure to set up a new remote control door lock receiver:
- Connect the Tech 2 to the vehicle.
- Select RCDLR under Module Setup in the Vehicle Control Systems menu.
- Select Setup New RCDLR.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Perform the Theft Deterrent 10-Minute Relearn Procedure for the ECM-Refer to Immobilizer System Component Programming
, selecting the Programming Theft Deterrent System Components that matches your vehicles country of origin.
During the ECM programming, select Theft Deterrent Learn for ECM (Export Only) on the SPS terminal.
- Replace the SCLM. Refer to Steering Column Lock Control Module Replacement

The SCLM will learn the incoming fuel continue password immediately upon the next ignition transition from OFF to CRANK.
- Perform the tire pressure sensor learn procedure-Refer to Tire Pressure Sensor Learn .
IMPORTANT:
The Theft Deterrent 10-Minute Relearn Procedure for the Steering Column Lock Module (SCLM) must be done first. Failure to do so may result in complications when attempting to perform the Theft Deterrent 10-Minute Relearn Procedure for the Engine Control Module (ECM).
