Installation Procedure

Install the wire harness to the steering wheel control switch assembly.

Align the steering control switch assembly engagement tabs to the steering wheel.
Push in on the steering wheel control switch assembly in order to secure the control switch assembly to the steering wheel.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Install the steering wheel control harness retainer and screw.
Tighten: Tighten the screw to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).
Install the steering wheel control switch assembly screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).

Connect the steering wheel control electrical connector.
Secure the connector to the retaining clip.
Install the steering wheel inflatable restraint module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
