Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2012 GMC Yukon XL, 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2012 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

    NOTE:

    Cut thread on the new radio antenna module and drive the bolt through the nut twice to ensure that the bolt can be installed by hand. Do not drive the bolt more than twice to avoid stripping the threads.

  1. Install the radio antenna module (2).
  2. Install the bolt (1) from the back side of the sheet metal of the rear quarter, and tighten to 10Y (89 lb in). Once the bolt touches the sheet metal, use a wrench to make sure the back side of the bolt head cuts through the paint.
  3. Connect the antenna lead to the window.
  4. Connect the coax cable (3) and the power connector (4).
  5. Install the right rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Extended Wheelbase) , Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Standard Wheelbase)
  6. Install the screw from the HVAC duct.
  7. Install the right lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) .
