Circuit/System Testing

- Inspect for DTCs P0A3F, P0A40, P0A78, P0BFD, P0C01, P0C05, P0C0B, P0C17, P0C4E, P0C52, P0C53, P0C5C, P0C5D, P1AF8, P1B03, or P1B0F.
- If the specified DTCs are set, repair them first. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Inspect for the following conditions:
- Seized or binding engine
- Seized or binding accessory drive belt
IMPORTANT: If a seized condition is observed, internal transmission damage may have occurred.- If a seized or binding condition is observed, repair as required.
- If no engine condition is observed, program the PIM with the latest software version and recheck for DTCs. If the DTC resets after programming or if the PIM already contains the latest software version, replace the drive motor generator assembly.
