- Ignition ON, engine OFF, observe the scan tool ECM GEN-F Terminal Signal parameter. The reading should be less than 5 percent.
- Engine running, observe the scan tool ECM GEN-F Terminal Signal parameter. The reading should be greater than 5 percent.
