Preliminary Procedure Remove the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Standard Wheelbase w/E61) , Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Extended Wheelbase w/E61) , Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Extended Wheelbase w/o E61) , Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Standard Wheelbase w/o E61) .
1	Power Liftgate Switch Screw CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 0.2 N.m (1.7 lb in)
2	Power Liftgate Switch Cut the tie strap, if equipped, and replace after the repair. Disconnect the electrical connector. Reprogram the power liftgate actuator switch replacement. Refer to Control Module References .
