Liftgate Latch Replacement

Preliminary Procedure Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
1	Liftgate Latch Screw (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Liftgate Handle Assembly Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the plastic tether before installing the liftgate latch. Calibrate the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Calibration (Except Avalanche and EXT Escalade) . Adjust the liftgate if needed. Refer to Liftgate Adjustment .

Tighten
9 N.m (80 lb in)

Liftgate Handle Assembly

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Remove the plastic tether before installing the liftgate latch.
Calibrate the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Calibration (Except Avalanche and EXT Escalade) .
Adjust the liftgate if needed. Refer to Liftgate Adjustment .
