Component Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X176 harness connector at the transmission.
- Install the DT-48493 jumper harness to the transmission side only.
- Test for 7.0-9.0 Ω between the AC terminal 8 and the AC terminal 9.
- If less than the specified range, test the transmission control wiring harness extension harness circuits for a short between the AC circuits. If the circuits test normal replace the drive motor with generator assembly.
- If greater than the specified range, test each transmission control wiring harness extension harness AC circuits for an open. If the circuits test normal replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
- Test for 20-23 Ω between the signal terminal 12 and the signal terminal 14.
- If less than the specified range, test the transmission control wiring harness extension harness circuits for a short between the signal circuits. If the circuits test normal replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
- If greater than the specified range, test each transmission control wiring harness extension harness signal circuits for an open. If the circuits test normal replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
- Test for 23-26 Ω between the signal terminal 10 and the signal terminal 11.
- If less than the specified range, test the transmission control wiring harness extension harness circuits for a short between the signal circuits. If the circuits test normal replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
- If greater than the specified range, test each transmission control wiring harness extension harness signal circuits for an open. If the circuits test normal replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
- Test for greater than 7 Ω between the terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal 8
- Terminal 9
- Terminal 10
- Terminal 11
- Terminal 12
- Terminal 14
- If less that the specified value, test the transmission control wiring harness extension harness circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
- Test for infinite resistance between the terminals listed below:
- Terminals 8 and 10
- Terminals 8 and 12
- Terminals 10 and 12
- If less that the specified value, test the transmission control wiring harness extension harness circuits for a short between the circuits. If the circuits test normal replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
