Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2012 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X3 14-volt harness connector and the X2 42-volt harness connector at the K1 accessory DC power control module. Make sure neither harness connector contacts chassis ground.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the K1 accessory DC power control module and chassis ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Connector X3 Terminal A
- Connector X1 Terminal 3
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the K1 accessory DC power control module.
