Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2012 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE:

    You must perform the Component Testing before proceeding with Circuit/System Testing.

  1. Verify that DTC P0A3F, P0A40, P0C52, P0C53, P0C5C, P0C5D, or P1B03 are not set.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X176 harness connector at the transmission.
  3. Install the DT-48493  jumper harness to the harness side only.
  4. Disconnect the X1 harness connector at the T6 drive motor generator power inverter module.
  5. Test for less than 1 Ω between the terminals listed below:
    • Terminals 8 and 56
    • Terminals 9 and 55
    • Terminals 10 and 54
    • Terminals 11 and 53
    • Terminals 12 and 52
    • Terminals 14 and 51
    • If greater that the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
  6. If all circuits test normal, replace the M15A drive motor with generator assembly.
