Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  2. Remove the accelerator cable slug from the throttle body pulley.

  4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator control bracket.
  5. Disconnect and remove the accelerator cable from the engine bracket.

  7. Remove the driver side knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  8. Unseat the accelerator cable retainer (3) from the accelerator pedal lever (2).
  9. Squeeze the accelerator cable tangs (1) together, and push the cable through the front of dash.

  11. Remove the accelerator cable.
