Installation Procedure

- Install the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (4) to the SGCM coolant pump (2).
- Position the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose clamp (1) to the SGCM coolant pump (2).
- Position the SGCM coolant pump outlet hose clamp (2) to the SGCM coolant pump (1).
- Install the SGCM coolant pump outlet hose (3) to the SGCM coolant pump (1).
- Connect the electrical connector (1) to the SGCM coolant pump (2).
- Position the SGCM coolant pump (1) to the radiator core support (3).
- Install the bolts (2) to the SGCM coolant pump (1).
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the push pin to the right side radiator air baffle.
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 5.3L.
- Fill the SGCM cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System - Starter/Generator Control Module .

NOTE:
The procedure below must be followed. Improper coolant level could result in a low or high coolant level condition, causing starter/generator control module damage.
