Fuel System Pressure Release

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Connect Fuel Pressure Gauge (J 34730-1A), or equivalent, to the fuel pressure connection, located on the fuel rail. See Fig 1.
- Place the bleed hose of the fuel pressure gauge into an approved gasoline container.
- Open the valve to bleed the system pressure. The fuel connections are now safe for servicing.
- Disconnect the fuel pressure gauge from the fuel pressure connection.
