Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the steering wheel control switch assembly - left.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the cruise control indicator dimming control circuit terminal 9 and ground.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the cruise control indicator dimming control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the cruise control switch signal circuit terminal 3 and ground.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the cruise control switch signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the steering wheel control switch assembly - left.
