Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down
- Disconnect the harness connectors at both of the P22 seatback video displays.
- Test for less than 10 Ω between the signal (-) circuits terminal 13 and ground at each display.
- If 10 Ω or greater
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X3 connector at the A11 radio.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the A11 radio.
- If less than 10 Ω
- Ignition ON, radio ON, DVD playing.
- Test for 1-4 V between the signal (+) circuit terminal 12 and ground at each display.
- If less than 1 V
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the A11 radio.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the A11 radio.
- If greater than 4 V
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the A11 radio. Ignition ON.
- Test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit and ground.
- If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1 V, replace the A11 radio.
- If between 1-4 V
- Ignition OFF. Connect the harness connector at the P22E driver seatback video display.
- Ignition ON, radio ON, DVD playing.
- Test for 1-4 V between the signal (+) circuit terminal 12 and ground at the P22F passenger seatback video display.
- If less than 1 V
Test or replace the P22E driver seatback video display
- If greater than 4 V
Test or replace the P22E driver seatback video display
- If between 1-4 V
- If less than 1 V
- Test or replace the P22F passenger seatback video display.
