Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

Callout Component Name
CAUTION:

Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness in order to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. An 8-digit part identification number is stamped on the throttle body casting. Refer to this number if servicing, or if a part replacement is required.
1 Throttle Body Bolt (Qty: 4)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


TIP:  In order to prevent possible contamination, cover or plug any opening when servicing the throttle body.
Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
2 Throttle Body

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the throttle body harness connector.
  2. Perform the throttle learn procedure. Refer to Q38 Throttle Body: Throttle/Idle Learn .
