Circuit/System Testing

  1. Center the balance and fade adjustment on the radio.
    • If adjustment of the fade and balance eliminates the concern, review the operation of the radio with the customer.
  2. Verify that the wireless headphones are set to the proper channel and are working properly.
  3. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 RSA connecter harness.
  4. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 5 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  5. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ground circuit terminal 6 and B+.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  6. If all circuits test normal, replace the RSA control module.
