Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at the appropriate module/sensor.
  2. Test for less than 3 Ω between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
    • Terminal H, K83 Parking brake control module
    • Terminal 16, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 1, K19 Suspension control module
    • Terminal L X1, K47 Rear differential clutch control module
    • Terminal 6, B99 Steering wheel angle sensor
    • Terminal 6, B119 Multi-axis acceleration sensor
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+/ignition circuits listed below and ground:
    • Terminal A, K83 Parking brake control module
    • Terminal 1, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 32, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 32, K19 Suspension control module
    • Terminal M X1, K47 Rear differential clutch control module
    • Terminal 5, B99 Steering wheel angle sensor
    • Terminal 5, B119 Multi-axis acceleration sensor
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate module/sensor.
