Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at the appropriate module/sensor.
- Test for less than 3 Ω between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal H, K83 Parking brake control module
- Terminal 16, K17 Electronic brake control module
- Terminal 1, K19 Suspension control module
- Terminal L X1, K47 Rear differential clutch control module
- Terminal 6, B99 Steering wheel angle sensor
- Terminal 6, B119 Multi-axis acceleration sensor
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+/ignition circuits listed below and ground:
- Terminal A, K83 Parking brake control module
- Terminal 1, K17 Electronic brake control module
- Terminal 32, K17 Electronic brake control module
- Terminal 32, K19 Suspension control module
- Terminal M X1, K47 Rear differential clutch control module
- Terminal 5, B99 Steering wheel angle sensor
- Terminal 5, B119 Multi-axis acceleration sensor
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate module/sensor.
