Installation Procedure
- Position the air compressor tubes (1) in the vehicle.
- Install the 3 air compressor tubes retainers (2) to the cross member.
- Install the 2 air compressor tubes retainers (1) to the frame rail.
- For AWD vehicles , raise the differential carrier assembly into place. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement
- Install the new air compressor tube fittings to the rear air springs and the rear air spring compressor and insert air tubes into new fittings. Refer to Automatic Level Control Air Compressor Tube Fitting Replacement .
- Lower the vehicle, but DO NOT allow the tires assemblies to touch the ground.
- Pressurize the air suspension system. Refer to Air Suspension System Depressurization and Pressurization .
- Continue to lower the vehicle to load suspension.
- Start the vehicle and run for approximately (1) minute to ensure the air spring is completely pressurized and functioning properly.
- Raise the vehicle and with a squirt bottle filled a soapy water solution, check for leaks at all fitting areas, repair if necessary.
- Lower the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Do NOT pressurize the air springs/shocks under load or damage to the air spring/shocks will occur. Always pressurize the system with the wheels of the vehicle off the ground.
