Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the P22E driver seatback video display.
- Ignition OFF, scan tool disconnected, open driver door, wait five minutes, test for 20-25 Ω between the DVD audio low reference signal (-) circuits terminal 5 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the low reference (-) circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the A11 radio.
- Ignition ON, DVD playing with audio present, set the DMM to read min/max, test for a varying voltage greater than 50 mV from 10 mV-250 mV AC between the control circuits listed below and ground:
- Left DVD audio control (+) - terminal 6
- Right DVD audio control (-) - terminal 7
- If not within the specified range, test the control circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground or an open/high resistance. if the circuits test normal, replace the A11 radio.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the headphones. If the headphones are still inoperative, replace the P22E driver seatback video display.
