Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the P22E driver seatback video display.
  2. Ignition OFF, scan tool disconnected, open driver door, wait five minutes, test for 20-25 Ω between the DVD audio low reference signal (-) circuits terminal 5 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the low reference (-) circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the A11 radio.
  3. Ignition ON, DVD playing with audio present, set the DMM to read min/max, test for a varying voltage greater than 50 mV from 10 mV-250 mV AC between the control circuits listed below and ground:
    • Left DVD audio control (+) - terminal 6
    • Right DVD audio control (-) - terminal 7
    • If not within the specified range, test the control circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground or an open/high resistance. if the circuits test normal, replace the A11 radio.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the headphones. If the headphones are still inoperative, replace the P22E driver seatback video display.
