Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (FWD) , Fuel Tank Replacement (AWD) .
  2. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector (1) and the quick connects (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Use the CH 45722   wrench by turning counter clockwise and remove the lock ring (1).

  4. Disconnect the fuel pump vent hose from the fuel tank fuel pump module. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Remove the fuel tank module (1) and the O-ring (2).
