Circuit/System Description

The electronic brake control module and the engine control module simultaneously control the vehicle performance launch. During a performance launch the electronic brake control module sends a serial data message to the engine control module requesting torque reduction. If the engine control module receives corrupt data from the electronic brake control module, DTC P2548 will set in the engine control module. The engine control module then sends a serial data message to the electronic brake control module that torque reduction is not allowed.
