Pedestrian Impact Detection Sensor Replacement - Rear Upper Beam

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the pedestrian impact detection system. Refer to Pedestrian Impact Detection System Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
1 Pedestrian Impact Detection Sensor
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Loosen the sensor integral bolt.

TIP:  The bolt is an integral part of the sensor and should remain with the sensor.
Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
