Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.

The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:

  • Identify how to disable high voltage.
  • Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
  • Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.

Failure to follow the procedures exactly as written may result in serious injury or death.

  1. Disable the high voltage system. Refer to High Voltage Disabling .
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. Remove the rear compartment floor panel front trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Front Trim Replacement
  4. Remove the fuse block cover. Refer to Fuse Block Cover Replacement

  6. Remove the APM positive cable nut (1) and set aside the APM positive cable (2)

  8. Remove the body front wiring harness fuse block nut (1).

  10. Remove the 4 body harness terminal nuts (1).

  12. Loosen the battery positive fuse block cable nut (1)

  14. Release the tabs on the front and rear of the fuse block (1) and remove.
