Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM.
  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Engine Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket» Remove - Engine Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket Replacement
  3. Thoroughly clean the electronic brake control module (EBCM) to brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) area of any accumulated dirt and debris.
  4. Disconnect the EBCM electrical connector.
  5. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Brake Pipe Fitting (1)» Disconnect

  6. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the BPMV inlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  7. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Brake Pipe Fitting (1)» Disconnect

  8. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the BPMV inlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  9. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Low Pressure Brake Pipe Fitting (1)» Disconnect

  10. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the BPMV inlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  11. Brake Pipe Fitting (Left Front) (1)» Disconnect

  12. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the BPMV outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  13. Brake Pipe Fitting (Right Front) (1)» Disconnect

  14. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the BPMV outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  15. Brake Pipe Fitting (Left Rear) (1)» Disconnect

  16. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the BPMV outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  17. Brake Pipe Fitting (Right Rear) (1)» Disconnect

  18. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the BPMV outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  19. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Nut (1)» Remove
