K69 Transfer Case Control Module

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) is a standalone controller mounted under the hood, on the right side under the air inlet grille panel access hole cover. The TCCM has two 18 terminal connectors to interface with the A16 Transfer case Shift Motor, the B109 Transfer Case Fluid Temperature Sensor, the vehicle electrical system / other control modules. The control module uses the vehicle identification number (VIN) information for calculations based on axle ratio, transmission, tire size, engine size and other vehicle specific configuration information. The TCCM uses wheel speed sensor information, which is sent to the module via high speed controller area network (CAN) serial data messages, to determine when to activate all wheel drive (AWD) and how much torque needs to be transferred to the front wheels/axle. When wheel slippage is detected, the module sends a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal to the motor, (via an H-Bridge internal to the module), which engages AWD.
