Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON. Clear all DTCs.
Verify the scan tool communicates with the control module and there are no U codes set.
- If the scan tool does not communicate with the control module and there are U codes set
  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If the scan tool does not communicate with the control module and there are no codes set
  Refer to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Low Speed GMLAN Device .
- If the scan tool communicates with the control module and there are no codes set
Verify DTC B305A does not set while operating the steering column lock module within the conditions for running the DTC.
- If DTC B305A sets
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If DTC B305A does not set
All OK.
