Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Install the generator (2) into position and tighten the fasteners (1) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  2. Connect the engine harness connector (4) and the engine harness battery positive terminal (3) to the generator. Tighten the fastener (2) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  3. Install the generator B + protective cap (1).
  4. Install the turbocharger coolant return pipe - bank 1. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LF3 - Bank 2)Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LF3 - Bank 1) .
  5. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LF3) .
  6. Install the drivetrain and front suspension frame. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Removal and Installation .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) .
