Circuit/System Description

The steering wheel angle sensor receives a 12 V reference from the electronic brake control module. The electronic brake control module receives serial data message inputs from the steering angle sensor identifying the position and direction of the steering wheel rotation. The module utilizes this signal to calculate the driver intended driving direction.

The headlamp control module also receives serial data messages from the steering angle sensor. The headlamp control module uses this data to aim the headlights in the intended direction of vehicle travel.
