Circuit/System Verification

DTC C0545 00 and C0545 3A

1. Verify that the X3 harness connector is installed properly at the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
   • If the X3 harness connector at the K43 Power Steering Control Module is not installed properly 
   1. Connect the X3 harness connector properly at the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
   2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC sets, replace the Steering Gear.
      • If the DTC does not set
   3. All OK.
   • If the X3 harness connector at the K43 Power Steering Control Module is installed properly 
2. Ignition ON.
3. Verify the scan tool Torque Sensor parameter changes when turning the steering wheel.
   • If the parameter does not change 

     Replace the Steering Gear.

   • If the parameter changes 
4. All OK.

DTC C0545 4B

1. Ignition ON.
2. Verify the scan tool Torque Sensor parameter changes when turning the steering wheel.
   • If the parameter does not change 
   1. Program the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
   2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC sets, replace the Steering Gear.
      • If the DTC does not set
   3. All OK.
   • If the parameter changes 
3. All OK.
