Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify the scan tool Transmission Gear Lever X Position 2 Duty Cycle and Transmission Gear Lever Y Position 2 Duty Cycle parameters are between 5% and 95% and duty cycle changes when gear lever is moved to different positions.
    • If Transmission Gear Lever X Position 2 Duty Cycle is less than 5% or greater than 95% or does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing for Transmission Range Selector X Position Sensor 2.

    • If Transmission Gear Lever Y Position 2 Duty Cycle is less than 5% or greater than 95% or does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing for Transmission Range Selector Y Position Sensor 2.

    • If both parameters are between 5% and 95% and change but the DTC is still present 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing for the appropriate sensor.

    • If both parameters are between 5% and 95% and change with no DTC present 
  3. All OK.
