Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify the scan tool Shift Interlock Switch 1 and Shift Interlock Switch 2 is between 67% - 85% when the Park Button Switch is not being pressed on the Transmission Shift Lever assembly.
    • If parameter is not between 67% - 85% 

      Test or replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever and S156 Transmission Shift Lever Knob.

    • If parameter is between 67% - 85% 
  3. Verify the scan tool Shift Interlock Switch 1 and Shift Interlock Switch 2 changes to 50% - 60% when the Shift Interlock Button is pressed on the Transmission Shift Lever assembly.
    • If parameter does not change to 50% - 60% 

      Test or replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever and S156 Transmission Shift Lever Knob.

    • If parameter is between 50% - 60% 
  4. All OK.
