Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Positive Cable, Nut And Retainer

  1. Install Battery Positive Cable (4)
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  3. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  4. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) and tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  5. Engage Battery Positive Cable Retainer (3)

  7. Close the battery fuse block cover.(2)
  8. Engage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab (1)

  10. Engage Battery Positive Cable Retainer (3)

  12. Install Battery Positive Cable (3)
  13. Install Generator Positive Cable Fastener (1) and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  14. Install Protective Cap (2)
  15. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

  17. Install Battery Positive Cable (2)
  18. Install Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1) and tighten 12.5 N.m (111 lb in)
  19. Install Battery Positive Cable Conduit Fastener (3) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  21. Install Starter Heat Shield (2) Starter Shield Replacement 
  22. Lower the vehicle.
  23. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
