Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Hold Down Bolt And Battery

  1. Install (3)
  2. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (2)
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  3. Install Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  4. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (4)
  5. Install the engine control module bracket along with the engine control module to the battery tray. Engine Control Module Bracket Replacement
  6. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  7. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt (2) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  8. Engage Retainer (3)

  9. Engage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab (1)
  10. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (4) Tighten 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)

  11. Close the battery fuse block cover.(2)
  12. Engage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab (1)
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
