Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Diesel/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Remove Fuel Tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (AWD) 
    2. Fig 1: Electrical Connectors

  2. Disconnect Electrical Connectors (1) (Qty: 2)
    3. Fig 2: Fuel Module Lock Ring

  3. Use the CH 48482  wrench by turning counter clockwise and remove the lock ring (1).

  4. Disconnect Transfer Hose (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
    5. Fig 4: Fuel Sender And Fuel Pump Seal

  5. Remove Fuel Sender (1)
  6. Remove and DISCARD Fuel Pump Seal (2)
