Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify the scan tool Transmission Park Position Switch 1 and Transmission Park Position Switch 2 is between 55% - 70% when the Park Button Switch is not being pressed on the Transmission Shift Lever assembly.
    • If parameter is not between 55% - 70% 

      Test or replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever and S156 Transmission Shift Lever Knob.

    • If parameter is between 55% - 70% 
  3. Verify the scan tool Transmission Park Position Switch 1 and Transmission Park Position Switch 2 changes to 35% - 45% when the Park Button Switch is pressed on the Transmission Shift Lever assembly.
    • If parameter does not change to 35% - 45% 

      Test or replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever and S156 Transmission Shift Lever Knob.

    • If parameter is between 35% - 45% 
  4. All OK.
