Component Testing

  1. Ignition Off, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate Q6 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve.
  2. Test for 5 - 12 Ω between the control circuit terminal 1/A and the low reference circuit terminal 2/B of the Q6 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve.
    • If not between the specified values 

      Replace the Q6 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve.

    • If between the specified values 
  3. Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the Q6 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve housing.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the Q6 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve.

    • If infinite resistance 
  4. All OK.
