Installation Procedure

Slide the fuel rail (1) toward the rear of the engine approximately 1 inch (25.4 mm), in order to align the center injector bore.

CAUTION:

Hand tighten the two outer fuel rail fasteners to seat the injectors.
Start and hand tighten the remaining fuel rail fasteners.
Tighten the fuel rail fasteners in the sequence shown above to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).

CAUTION:

Tighten the fuel pressure sensor (3) to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
Connect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector (2) and secure it with a new plastic zip tie.
Install the fuel feed intermediate pipe. Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LFX)
Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
2. Turn OFF the ignition, for 10 seconds.
3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
Install the fuel injection fuel rail noise shield to the fuel rails.
Install the intake manifold. Intake Manifold Replacement (LFX)
Install the fuel pipe shield. Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LFX)
Install the low side fuel pressure service port cap.
Install the fuel tank cap.
