K186 Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor Control Module

The Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor Control Module will be used to divide the vehicles power distribution into two parts, Fail Operation Power Supply 1 and Fail Operation Power Supply 2. The Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor Control Module will provide the means to isolate the two power grids from each other and provide stabilized power to Fail Operation Power Supply 2 in the case of a power fault detected in the system. In this case the power provided to Fail Operation Power Supply 2 will be completely isolated from Fail Operation Power Supply 1 power to allow the Super cruise function to operate in backup operation long enough for the driver to retake control of the vehicle. The Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor Control Module will be used to detect, isolate and provide diagnostics during a power supply failure, charge the UltraCap cells, diagnose the cells or other internal components for faults, determine power availability and provide stabilized power to the secondary power grid when requested.
