Circuit/System Description
The FlexRay serial data network consists of two unshielded twisted wires to connect FlexRay nodes together. A FlexRay node is a device connected to a FlexRay bus. There are several FlexRay nodes. The FlexRay serial data network features 2 communication channels, channel A and channel B. Each channel may be operated at a data rate of up to 10 Mbit/s. Nodes can be connected to either both channels or a single channel. Each channel consists of multiple branches. At each end of a branch, there is a 100 Ω terminating resistor connected between the pair of serial data circuits. If there is a fault on FlexRay channel B, DTC U007F will be set.
