Installation Procedure
Mid Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft (2) @ Intermediate Steering Shaft - Install
- Mid Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft Bolt (1) - Install and tighten to 36 N.m (27 lb ft)
- Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the component. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Press in the lock pin on the mid lower intermediate steering shaft and pull the mid intermediate steering shaft (2) and upper intermediate steering shaft downward and forward along the axis of the upper intermediate steering shaft onto the mid lower intermediate steering shaft. Make sure the lock pin is seated correctly.
- Mid Intermediate Steering Shaft Bolt (1) - Install and tighten to 36 N.m (27 lb ft)
- Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the component. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
