Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Connect the electrical connector.

Install the generator (1) with the lower generator mounting bolt (2).

Generator Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Generator Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (2) - Install
Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) @ Generator - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Radiator Inlet Hose Bracket (2) - Install
Radiator Inlet Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Throttle Body (3) - Install
Retainer Spring (1) - Install

Drive Belt Tensioner (2) - Install

CAUTION:

Drive Belt Tensioner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Crankshaft Balancer (2) - Install
Crankshaft Balancer Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

Remove the EN-52476 Flywheel Lock and Alignment Tool (1) from the automatic transmission flexplate.

Starter (3) - Install
Starter Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Starter Stud (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (2) - Install
Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) @ Starter Solenoid - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Battery Negative Cable Nut (1) @ Starter Stud - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Engage [2x]
Lower the vehicle.

Accessory Drive Primary Belt (1) - Install

Use a suitable tool to rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise and hold.
Slowly release tension on the drive belt tensioner.

Oil Level Indicator Tube Seal (2) - Install NEW

Electrical Connector (1) @ Oil Level Indicator Tube (3) - Clip

Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

NOTE:
Ensure the engine sight shield retainers fully engage the intake manifold cover studs.

Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (1) engaging the intake manifold cover retainers to the intake manifold cover studs.
Install the oil fill cap.
Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) .
