Replace and Program ECU (UDV or UHS)
To program a replacement or an existing ECU, perform the following procedure:
- Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.

NOTE:
Ensure programming of this module is performed using the EL-52100 (MDI 2). Using the EL-47955 (MDI) will result in a programming failure.
Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Ignition/Vehicle OFF.

NOTE:
In the event that an SPS selection screen appears and selecting Hardware ID is required, this refers to the new Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module hardware Bootloader part number which can be viewed in GDS2
On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select P16 Instrument Cluster - Graphics Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select P16 Instrument Cluster - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select P16 Instrument Cluster - Setup and follow the on-screen instructions.

NOTE:
If Ethernet programming fails, ensure Instrument Cluster is communicating over ethernet properly. Refer to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Vehicle
- Clear DTCs.
