Chatter Test
- Close tester shut off valve to pressure gauge. Operate tester rapidly to put nozzle under extreme load conditions. Chatter should be audible and should also be felt through handle of tester.
- Chatter does not occur in engine. It is an indication of valve freedom, proper seat width and interference angle.
- Replace any nozzle assembly which does not chatter. Release tester pressure.
