Fig. 11 Distributor pickup coil ohmmeter test:

1. Place ignition switch in OFF position.
2. Remove distributor cap and dust proof cover from distributor assembly.
3. Disconnect red signal generator (pickup coil) wire from igniter (module).
4. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance across signal generator red and white wires. Resistance value obtained should be 140 - 180 ohms.
