Diagnosis & Testing: Notes

Check the following before doing SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS.

• Check fuses for: STOP/HAZARD, BRAKES, INJECTOR 1 and GAUGES.
• Check fusible link "J" (left rear corner of engine compartment at jump start junction block).
• Check brake fluid level.
• Check that pump motor relay and solenoid valve relay are firmly seated.
• Check that Control Module connector is properly mated.
• If ABS pressure problem exists, or if the pump does not operate, check grounds G320 on coupe (center of left center lock pillar) or G401 on convertible (right side cargo compartment).
• If the ANTI-LOCK indicator light remains on and the ABS system works okay, check that control module connector is tightly seated. Also check for bent pins or pulled-out terminals.
